Academic challenges are common, and you are not alone. These challenges present an opportunity to learn, grow, and access to additional assistance. Your preceptors, colleagues, clinical learning liaisons, university placement coordinators and faculty are all on your side and want you to succeed.
It is important to be open and honest about the challenges you are experiencing, as the first step is asking for help. It is better to ask for help early, then to let a difficulty persist so that support can be provided to you right away.
Steps:
- Discuss your difficulty with your preceptor to see if he/she can provide additional assistance and/or resources.
- Discuss your difficulty with your Clinical Learning Liaison (CLL). Contact us.
- Discuss your difficulty with your university placement coordinator and faculty
